1.    How long have you had your blog?

I started my blog on a whim at the end of January, 2008.

2.    What made you get into blogging?

It was really one of those "out of the blue" ideas. I have a been a freelance writer covering the Los Angeles Kings for many years, and I've had a media credential with the Kings for over ten years now. The blog has just another way to get my work out there for folks to read. It highlights my work as the lead writer covering the Kings for Hockeytalk (http://www.hockeytalk.biz/LAKings.htm) and as the News Editor for the Online Kingdom (http://www.kingshockey.com). Of course, I have plenty of material that's exclusive to the blog as well.

3.    Who is your favorite player?

When I was a kid, I was torn between Marcel Dionne and Rogie Vachon. During the Gretzky Era, who else but The Great One? But since then, I've been covering the team as a writer and because of my self-training to be as objective as I can, I can honestly say that I don't have a favorite at the present time.

4.    Who's your team and why?

As if you couldn't guess, the Los Angeles Kings. :-) I've been following them since 1973 when I was nine or ten years old.

5.    What do you think sets you apart from other blogs?

Without passing judgement on other blogs, which are mostly written as fan blogs, mine really isn't written as a fan blog. While I don't consider myself to be a pro in terms of being a writer, I do consider my blog to be more journalistic than most, which goes hand in hand with my work covering the Kings.

6.    How did you come up with the title of your blog?

When I first started the blog, i didn't have a lot of time to come up with a name, so it originally was called "Drop The Puck." Not very catchy or creative. But once the season ended for the Kings, I had a little downtime and came up with "Frozen Royalty," which is at least a bit more creative and more related to the Kings.

7.    What do you think your team needs to do to have a successful 2008-2009 season?

Show some measurable improvement and develop their young players.

8.    Is there a hockey blog or site that you use for inspiration?

Not really, no.

9.    What is your goal to accomplish with your blog this season?

Plain and simple, to increase readership in its first full season in publication.

10.  What made you want to start a hockey blog?

I think I answered this in question #2.
