I started Love the Game, Don't Like Puck Bunnies in February 2008 so the blog is four months old.
 

I started the blog because I needed a constructive and creative outlet to express my hockey thoughts that I may not have felt comfortable saying out loud. I feel less inhibited when writing posts. I have noticed that the blog has helped organize thoughts, enabling me to [verbally] articulate my opinions with the same passion as the posts.

My favorite team is the Washington Capitals. I have been a fan since 2000. The Capitals play intensely in awe-inspiring stretches of brilliance. Washington, DC has never been a hockey town but the Capitals bring the city together.

I am a Black female blogger knowledgeable about a sport considered white and elitist.

I named the blog Love the Game, Don't Like Puck Bunnies because I am a woman that loves the game of hockey but loathes women interested in the sport merely to meet the players instead of for an interest in the sport.

NHL's free-agency period begins on July 1 and I think the Capitals need to sign Green, Huet, and Laich to remain successful in 2008-09.

I read hockey blogs, i.e. Junior's Eyes, Musings of a Hockey Mom, On Frozen Blog, Random Reality Thoughts, and Sports in the City that post thought-provoking commentary.

My goal is to have an interactive blog with compelling content that has value and use to the readers.  

After attending a Washington Capitals home game in 2000, I got hooked on Olie Kolzig, hockey and the Washington Capitals. I started Love the Game, Don't Like Puck Bunnies in 2008 to provide my personal thoughts on the greatest goalie, fastest sport, and best team on Earth.
